On Friday, April 13, 2018, the Dallas Cowboys released pro-bowler and All-Star wide receiver Dez Bryant. Bryant, an OSU alumnus, was the Cowboys’ first-round draft pick in 2010. He was released after Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, could not come to an agreement with Bryant over his salary. The Cowboys will save $8 million by releasing him. Bryant, a Texas native, graduated high school from Lufkin High School, where he competed in track and field and in football. He was a 4-star in high school and was listed as the 9th best wide receiver in the nation in the class of 2007. In November 2009, Bryant declared for the 2010 draft. He was selected 24th overall by the Cowboys, who traded up to pick him. Here are his career statistics as a member of “America’s Team:”
